I really don’t. There are so many themes available it’s almost mind boggling. Just go with one you like and modify it to fit your needs. Thant’s all I do.

I used the bluesense adsense theme on my new acne blog. However, I think there should be more modern looking themes available.

Do you have a suggestion which one to use for this particular blog?

It depends on what you’re trying to do.
I use a lot of different plugins. You don’t need them but they sure can make life easier.

Guess I’m not sure I completely understand your question.
