My Coupon Site two months in

It’s been almost two months since I’ve updated this blog. I’ve been pretty busy but things seem like they’re gonna be calm for a little while. Of course with the holidays coming, I imagine it will get crazy again pretty soon.

So anyway… Back at the end of August I posted about launching my Coupon Codes site.  Since then it’s been doing okay. I’ve done a little link building, added a blog category which I just started updating and made a lot of changes to the way if functions in general.

Some of it loads a little slow for my liking so I’m gonna be tackling that soon. But after two months of being live, I’ve been getting a good bit a traffic but that seems to have hit a plateau so I need to work that too.
My main source of links is Commission junction and their Promotional Data Transfer.  Since goin glive I’ve added 2,275 posts or… Coupon Codes to the site and have generated 58 sales. here is a shot of my CJ reports…

Most of that is from last month. This month seems to have slowed down a lot.  Other than the few issues I’ve already mentioned.  I’m going to be looking into some API’s to make updating the site even easier.

I have a couple of posts in mind from a few emails I’ve received lately so hopefully I’ll be updating my blog more often and with something will be a little more helpful that the junk I’ve been posting lately.

Thanks for posting the stats. It’s amazing the sheer amount of sales required in order to turn a decent profit.

Have you thought about looking into a rebate type program similar to what fatwallet.com does?

Well it’s not 100% profit. I did some PPC and paid for some other work too. Still it’s mostly profit. Haven’t done the math though.

And yeah I’ve looked into the cash back thing a little. I think it’s a little beyond my abilities and financial means at the moment. I have some other domains sitting waiting to be developed so depending on how well I do this holiday season. Some of that will go to develope something new. assuming I make any money.
